Curbside Trash Pickup

Your curbside trash pickup will remain on the same day until further notice. Each residence is limited to THREE 35-GALLON BARRELS OR FIVE BAGS per week. No more than 50 lbs per barrel or bag. Fines will be charged for over limit fees. Remember the best way to keep the City's costs down is to RECYCLE!

Curbside Recycling Has Gotten Even Easier!

The City of Newburyport is moving to single stream automated recycling. All curbside recycling can now be placed in the same recycling bin. New 64 GALLON toters will be delivered to your home in mid-Spring so that all recycling will be done by automated trucks.

Solid Waste and Recycling Holiday Pickup

There will be a one day delay on the collection of solid waste and recycling for the following holidays:

• New Year's Day: Friday, January 1, 2010
• Memorial Day: Monday, May 31, 2010
• Labor Day: Monday, September 6, 2010
• Thanksgiving Day: Thursday, November 25, 2010

*July 4th and Christmas Day are also observed, however, in 2010 they fall on the weekend will not affect any pick up schedules.

Those day's collection and all remaining collections for that week will be delayed one day, Friday collection will be on Saturday. All other holiday collections will be on a normal Monday through Friday schedule.
